Fremont, California

Fremont lies in Alameda County, in the southeastern part of the San Francisco Bay area. Fremont, California's fifteenth largest city, was created in 1956 when five smaller communities (Centerville, Niles, Irvington, Mission San Jose, and Warm Springs) merged to form a single entity. The city is named after John Charles Fremont, "the Great Pathfinder." In 1856 Fremont was a Republican candidate for President of the United States and the first politician of any major party to run on a party platform opposed to slavery. Part of the Silicon Valley, Fremont is the fourth most populated city in the Bay area and the largest suburban area. The original location of Mission San Jose, one of the oldest of the California missions can be found in the city. There are some high technological corporations located within the city limits, but many of the inhabitants commute to nearby areas for employment. Like most California communities, the residents of Fremont rely heavily on motor vehicles to get around. The Law Offices of Elizabeth Agmon Gayle handles cases for residents of Fremont and for those residing in the surrounding areas.
